We decided on this table because it was different. Everyone seems to have wooden farm tables which we didn't want and this seemed like the perfect way to bring light to a dark room (with the glass) and incorporate both brushed nickel and the wenge (which is like a chocolate brown).
The downsides are that everything comes in pieces so it has to be put together. The glass is extremely heavy making it difficult to move. We were very careful and had it covered when we did so but the glass itself came with scratches and marks that do not come out when cleaned with glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. So now we have to get a table runner or placemats in which to cover those scratches when we really wanted the glass to be bare. The table in general is difficult to clean as it seems to accumulate a lot of dust -- more so than other pieces of furniture. I'm having to clean it at least once a week and it's never even been used. The glass has to be cleaned on the top and bottom and it just never seems to look good. I feel as if the glass is inferior. The thickness is good for dining but something isn't right about it.
Overall it's just okay. I'm not happy with the condition of the glass but the wenge base is really cool and unique.
