I have never purchased furniture online and only considered it after all the furniture stores in my area kept coming up short on what I was looking for. Apparently, most entertainment consoles are being built these days to accommodate only a sound bar, which is usually no higher than about 4 inches.. But what about us old fashioned component stereo guys? Where are we supposed to put the center speaker than can run 7 inches or higher? That's where this console came in. I only have a center speaker, AVR and FIOS box and wanted them all to reside inside the console for a nice clean look. From the stated dimensions, which also provided essential details for the center shelving space, I knew everything would fit as needed. Based on the many positive reviews, and the pictures, the wife and I decided to go for it. And let me tell you, it is everything we hoped it would be and more. This thing is heavy and built like a brick you-know-what. The drawers have a felt bottom and slide easily back and forth. The glass doors have a classy beveled glass and also slide back and forth with ease. The rear media panels have spacey, but still discreet, wire cut outs, and the shelves have wire pass through cut outs that allow you to easily and diversely connect your electronic equipment. Also, we did not need two shelves, so we took the bottom one out and just placed it on the bottom level floor and it looks so seamless. Delivery went smoothly and according to schedule and the delivery people were very helpful and professional. In all, this is a great unit at a great price. The only issue I have is a political one. Too bad it was made in China. I hate giving my money to that country, but just about everything we buy here in the U.S. comes from there. I would love to see more products from, say, Mexico or South America.
