Nice cotton blanket - were you thinking cashmere? This is a nice blanket, woven of a cotton fiber that is great for summer use up north, think cottage on a lake, or year-round in Florida, where I live. I bought it because of the color, a sort-of-faded-navy, and it was true to my monitor. Washed it before use, and it held its shape. But it's not particularly soft - it's cotton, after all, and definitely not cuddly. So if you are looking for soft and cuddly, get a teddy bear.
