I put this up the first time with the help of 2 other people, a little bit hard to do. But once it was up I was able to move it into place myself. Rain & then wind came fairly soon afterward and one side awning put down gave me a good bit of protection from both. I had to adjust the tie downs several times as the shelters' poles flexed and seemed to stretch and sag. I was careful to 'pop' the raindrops off as needed and I stayed dry throughout the storm. I also got out my 'industrial strength' tent stakes, very long aluminium, and anchored in the corners to withstand the wind, a huge improvement.
Overall I am pleased with this, and recommend getting it with these extra side panels sewn on. They really are a great addition and I know will come in handy in future camping trips. I am anxious to try attaching to the keder rail on my camper to try that out.
