DG Casa Melrose Grey Linen Wingback Storage Bed

We love this bed. Adding 4 drawers was a priority for us living in Chicago where we have clothing for 4 seasons. Although the assembly is similar to Ikea furniture, this bed is much better quality with a solid build. Would material and good quality screws. Assembly Assembly is a pain in the butt. If you are good at putting together Ikea furniture, this will be a familiar experience. I recommend you buy an electric drill with all the bits possible. It makes a HUGE difference. Try taskrabbit and save yourself the hastle. I should have and would have but I listened to my Wife. Also, you do not need to add the "wings if you do not like them. We bought the bed hoping we could somehow remove the wings and we are very happy that we did. Highly recommended.

I read the reviews and was thinking that it was going to be a little complicated to assemble, but it wasn't!! I loved that everything had numbers and letters so it was very easy to read the instructions. I only had a problem trying to put a few pieces together only because I was working on it on my own. It took me about 7 hours to complete. You are gonna want to have enough room to build the bed, I took everything out of my room to have the space. I am soo happy with the finish look.

Tips: Be forewarned - the bed arrives as five heavy boxes. Make sure you have plenty of space when assembling; it will take at least two people to get this done in a few hours. Have a power screwdriver handy to get it done faster. For us, once it was completed, we were absolutely happy with this purchase. The nailhead studs are a bit shinier than they look in the photo, causing my husband to think it's more "feminine" than he thought it would be. Otherwise, its a beautiful, sturdy bed with awesome storage. It makes a statement in the room and we couldn't be happier.

This bed looks awesome. The drawers work great, it's very sturdy, and was an excellent purchase. Here is the advice I have. STAY ORGANIZED. I recommend having a large area cleared out and take everything out of the boxes and organize by number on the floor before you start putting anything together. Each piece is numbered so lay the pieces out and organize everything. Then I would page through the instruction booklet to get an idea of where they are going with the installation. Finally, roll up your sleeves, put on some hot jams and get to work. Step by step...don't skip anything or jump around, and be prepared to spend a few hours at least putting it together. Take a couple breaks, have a beer halfway through, and be patient. It's well worth the wait. One step that was a bit confusing for me that might save you some time and frustration. When you get to the point of fastening the foot board and head board to the side pieces, take the bolts out of the brackets on the foot and head board, line up side pieces, then put bolts back in the brackets. It'll make sense when you get there. Trust me. Last thing, with a box spring and the mattress AND a 3" memory foam pad it's really tall. I think we're going to sell the box springs (2 for a king size) and put down a couple pieces of thick plywood. Poor pup has a hard time getting up on the bed. Good luck and CHEERS!

Finally got this bed together after two full nights of tirelessly working on adding the million pieces. Did not receive all pieces needed but still made it work. Final product is very pretty and I do love the additional storage I now have at my fingertips. Overall, I'd say decent price for a good product but maybe hire someone to help you assemble this piece.

The look is very modern and chic for a storage bed, great solution for me as finding a storage bed for my apartment with a modern look was not easy. As for the materials/sturdiness of the bed it falls more on the cheap side. I bought wood panels to make the bottom of the bed sturdier. As for assembly... althoug it can be done by one person it is NOT ideal. The instructions can be hard to follow and not easy to differentiate between pieces/how it should be assembled, a power drill is a must! Overall great look, but I know this is not a bed I can use/transfer if I decide to move from my apartment after a year.

Horrible 36 step instructions, didn't come with all the pieces and all the pieces didn't match the instructions! Looks nice once it is put together though and the drawers seem to work well....can't wait until we get the footboard arrives so we can finally finish putting it together!
