Our coonhound mix had never slept in her dog bed til now! She absolutely loves this bed, and no longer comes up on our bed. She is 50 pounds and just about fits inside the large bed, however it is not a problem as she is very happy sleeping on top of it. It is so thick and cushiony, she knows it is hers and prefers it to anything else. Next time I would order a bigger size or get the same brand without the cave.
