andree Rating:3.0Recently received this patio umbrella which arrived in 2 cartons. The umbrella carton came with the pole hardware. the hardware package was opened and missing the 4 nuts used to hold the pole to the base. Since the bolts are cemented into the base ( 120 lbs), we had to guess at the size nut it required. This took 2 trips to a local hardware store since the bolts are metric threaded not american threaded. the only other observation i have in the short time we have used the umbrella is the wind easily moves tips the umbrella around as the cantilever arm doesn't secure at the top of the umbrella.

indshopper Rating:3.0This outdoor umbrella is nice and has withstood several bad storms with it being opened. The fabric is lighter material than I expected but so far so good.

Toni F. Rating:3.0I really like this umbrella and the yellow looks great on the patio. I would have given the rating 5 stars, but it's missing the strap to wrap the umbrella when its down.

FloridaMama Rating:5.0Bought this dark tan half umbrella, along with the half round base, both from OS. It was intended to be placed on my front porch, but the umbrella would not open all the way due to the curvature of my walls. Left it there for several months and was amazed that it was both sturdy and rugged enough to withstand the hot Florida sun...plus, it never toppled over due to the winds that accompany the Florida rains. Recently moved it to my back patio, and placed it behind my conversation set (also from OS) and voila...gorgeous and striking! This is a definite solution to a tight space (such as a balcony or other limited real estate) and it was a terrific find! Only con is that the price is about the same for a full round umbrella, but its unique design is well worth the money spent. Abundant thanks go out to OS!
When summer winds down, it's time to start thinking about clearing off the patio. Begin by putting away patio furniture before winter sets in. Typically, patio furniture and table covers do the job. However, if patio umbrellas are stored incorrectly, mold and mildew can grow on them, leading to an unpleasant surprise the following spring when you want to set them back outside. Storing Patio Umbrellas: Fill a bucket half-way full with hose water. Put a rag in the bucket to soak. Remove the umbrella from the patio table. Typically, the umbrella pulls out of a hole in the middle of the table or unscrews. Read More
