SewLambitious Rating:4.0I have been AMAZED at how MUCH water this 50 PINT unit is pulling out of my house!!! TRULY 50 PINTS EVERY 5 HOURS! I started running it when the temps hit the upper 80s and this week the heat index is 106. It's been running for 3 weeks. The readout that displays CO until the humidity levels out is STILL on CO and has not changed as the directions mention it will. My AC is on the fritz so I have been running this to lower the humidity while keeping the ceiling fans running in my 2 story home. (Fortunately I'm an empty nester, no one uses the upstairs now and I have lots of trees around the house.) HEAT FROM UNIT: The one thing that baffles me, and I see no one address on reviews anywhere: the blower at the top (near back) blows HOT AIR out --> warmer than my central heat in the winter! I set the unit on a 2 ft tall table in an AREA that I have not finished sheetrocking the lowered ceiling. The heat is blowing up in the "crawl space" for the most part. I'm not running a ceiling fan in that room (so I won't distribute the heat); only a short floor fan to blow across the room from the cooler side of the house. There is a foam FILTER in the front that is EASY TO REMOVE. I also kept the unit off the floor on the 2 foot table as mentioned because of animal hair and the filter. In these 3 weeks, the filter is still clean. FULL INDICATOR NOTIFICATION and REUSE OF WATER: The unit stops running and BEEPS when it is full. The water bucket is EASY TO REMOVE. When you reinsert the water bucket the unit automatically starts running again in about 2-3 seconds. It must be seated squarely in the chassis or it will beep at you again. I am SAVING ON MY WATER BILL by using the humidity pulled into the bucket. I water all the plants indoor and out and also water flowering trees that thrive with more water. SOUND LEVEL: This unit IS a bit noisy. the blower on the top puts out a heavy stream of hot air. I would not want it in a room that you are sitting in all the time - esp trying to listen to a TV. I have this in a more central room of the house that is more of a pass through type of room. RECOMMENDATION and SIZE: Yes, I would recommend this for others experiencing high humidity issues. I only give this 4 stars because of the extreme heat and noise of unit; otherwise it would be a 5. I should have went with the larger 70 pint unit. My home is approximately 1100 square on the bottom level. When I purchase the larger size, I will be able to use this in the upstairs that is approximately 700 sq ft. I will look for a smaller unit in this same brand to use exclusively in my LG bathroom and combined laundry room. (I have an extremely small unit in the bath/laundry of Another Brand and do not feel it makes much of a difference. I only empty the 1.5 cup tray every 5-6 days.)

amberkat2 Rating:3.0Can't say I noticed a difference. It seemed to be filtering the air however. The filter was definitely dirty. I think I expected too mch from a nut this size.

Karen E. Rating:5.0it's a water filter. what can I say about a water filter. YAY?
HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filters are common in household air purifiers and vacuum cleaners . It is recommended that home air filters should be changed every 12 to 24 months. HEPA filters trap approximately 99.97 percent of airborne particles, making them an excellent option for improving indoor air quality and reducing allergy symptoms. To learn how to change your HEPA filter , check out the following instructions. Changing HEPA Filters: Unplug it. Turn your air purifier or vacuum cleaner off and unplug the power cord. Read More
