"do I need a box spring with this mattress?"
Bought a queen size mattress for a spare bedroom. Cost about *** and that was a good value to me. Shipping was free, so that was an extra savings and also very convenient. I was a bit surprised that it came in a long cube shaped box which indicated to me that the mattress was rolled inside. Took it out of box, and it flattened out nicely. It is a foam mattress, not super comfortable, but it is ok for a spare bedroom.

Very Firm Mattress We purchased this mattress as a replacement to our current queen mattress. This is for our guest room but we've slept on it for awhile and it is a very firm mattress...just what we wanted! We are very satisfied with this purchase. The only 'negative' is I don't think it expanded to 10 inches, it may be closer to 9.

A little disappointed I let the mattress expand and settle in, They cover they put on is great. My major complain is that the mattress has to be rotated all the time in order to have a smooth sleeping surface. Even after not being used all day it just doesn't come back to the original form. So while it is comfortable with all the maneuvering of the mattress that I have to do, it IS a major pain to have to swap around the mattress every couple of weeks. The warranty says ten years, but I don't see that happening. The price would have been fair at 200 instead of 400. I will be going back to a good inner spring when this mattress won't reform anymore. I will NOT buy one again.

Cannot say enough good things I generally like a VERY firm mattress. This mattress is not solidly firm. Let me say, however, that when I get into bed, I am in heaven! This is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on (an I'm 63 years old!). I was looking for a solidly firm mattress when I purchased. This mattress is in between firm and medium softness. There is some "sinking" as one tends to do with a memory foam mattress. I HATE memory foam, which is why I chose this mattress. It gives comfort, but in a very natural way to my body. I don't "sink" into it. I am very please at the price, and the fact that it is constructed in the US.

You do need to support the mattress.You can use a regular frame with bed slats or a bed frame with a mattress.And yes a platform frame will work.Even place it on the bare floor will do.

Hello Kyle_1988, memory foam is a type of polyurethane foam that is “slow recovery”. When you push your hand into the foam and remove it, the memory foam slowly returns to its original shape. Regular polyurethane foam will return to its’ original shape almost instantaneously when you push your hand in and remove it. In addition, memory foam can be quite soft, so a memory foam mattress will generally have a thin layer(s) of memory foam supported by firmer “regular” polyurethane foams. The 10-inch Queen-size Double-sided Airflow Quilted Foam Mattress is composed entirely of “regular” polyurethane foam. Soft foam quilted to the outer fabric, along with the airflow layer provide a plush sleep surface that is supported by a firmer layer of foam in the core of the mattress. I hope this info helps.
