Going on 4 years and it is still solid. No squeaks, no broken boards or bolts. The entire frame and the wood that supports the mattress is made of solid wood, not that particle board junk. Everything is held together with thick bolts. The frame is larger than the mattress but that's fine because not all mattresses are the same. I hope this helped, enjoy.

While I love bamboo, one has to be very careful working it. Suggestion to the manufacturer ... you might want to thicken up slats or use a different wood for the slats altogether. Same goes for the so called "lip" on the frame. It is quite easy to split the wood when using screws especially when the screws are so easily stripped. The screws included with the frame for assembly are extremely cheap. If you're going to buy this platform bed be sure to go to your local hardware store and for a few dollars more invest in some sturdy solid screws that won't strip out in a few turns. Also the manufacturer of this frame needs to make sure all holes are lined up and pre drilled fully. I finally had to use my portable drill to complete the pre drilling of some holes and had to resort to my new ratchet screwdriver that had the exact Phillips head screw size to fit the supplied cheap screws. Be careful using your drill because if you drill down to far then the screw will just pull up and then you'll have to resort to a plastic fill-in screw like you use on walls but first you'll need to drill the holes out with a bigger drill bit, fully put the plastic screw inside the hole, put the slat over the almost flush plastic head and now drill your screw in and it will work. After approximately 3 hours the bed was finished. It looks real nice. Seems to just the right height (yes, you will be able to store some stuff under it. Last word on this is for the buyer to be careful walking around this bed or your shins will suffer trauma from knocking into the sharp wood corners. Maybe the manufacturer can include some foam padding for the corners?

I ordered this platform bed for my daughter. It arrived quickly and wasn't hard to put together. The color is beautiful. We are extremely happy with this purchase!

Bed broke after a couple of months

What I will say is that: 1) the pictures didn't look anything like what needed to happen 2) the hardware was cheap Chinese crap and stripped if you used a power drill 3) the pieces didn't line up correctly so I had to go to the hardware store and buy new bolts AFTER I had fashioned a block to fill the gap left when the pieces didn't line up correctly during assembly. 4) The slats were not attached to each other so EVERY SINGLE SLAT needed to be individually screwed in THREE places instead of the slats just being connected so all you would have to do would be to unroll the slats and lay the whole assembly in place. In general, this was one of the most frustrating and needlessly difficult installations I have ever done. And I'm pretty handy and comfortable around tools. Now that it's finally assembled, it's a pretty good frame, so if you're going to buy this, just beware that it's made in China and not the good old USA so the hardware will be crap and who's to say if the pieces will line up during assembly. Good chance they will NOT so be prepared to gerryrig a solution.

It began to fall apart with a month. I purchased this for myself. One morning getting out of bed. A slat literally shredded. It didn't even last a month. DONOT buy this product!

The cost of the platform was nearly the cost of buying a new box spring. So glad we chose the platform as no box spring can complement the design of the room as this did.

I bought this for my teenage boy and after the first week , the supports that go in the middle fell off.

It wasn't worth returning, because it still works, but is splintered in part of the visible frame due to shipping I guess. It looks good other than that and wasn't too hard to put together (although screwing it in by hand took time.)
