"Is this a good rug for a living room ?"
I love this rug!! It's so pretty and it looks exactly what I was planning on getting from this home decor store that had it listed for double the price. The rug goes welll with champagne, silver, gray tones as the threads are champagne, black and grey colored. I shagged they rug around to give it contrast. My hubby loved it as well. Even if it didn't last forever, I'm ok with that because it wasn't expensive in my opinion(especially because I know how much rugs like this cost at retail stores)

Love it! Love the color and texture, so soft! Other reviews mention no fabric on rug edges...this is true but I "roughed up" the areas where edges were showing and all areas are now covered. It's just the way the material is laying. Great rug!

Nice Rug This rug was a great addition to our living room for the price. The color and texture are on point with the description. My only complaint is that on the sides of part of the rug, the fibers don't cover the siding, so you can see it. It makes it look a little cheaper than it should. Would recommend aside from that minor distraction.

I'm very happy with this rug. I ordered the rug first and then read the feedback on this size and others. So, I was worried that I was going to buy a stinky, slippery, shedding, black threaded silver colored nightmare. I will address the issues on the rug that I received. It does have a smell, but most new carpets/rug do. I aired it out in my garage and that seems to have fixed it. I did have to lay weights on the end for a day to flatten it out, buy it came rolled up and that's to be expected. It is smooth/soft/mildly slippery, but I can't fly across it like I'm ice skating. There are some black threads, but that adds to the color effect. I haven't noticed any shedding. The pictures do seem to make the rug look much thicker than it is (something I read more than a few times). The actual color of the rug seems to be the greatest debate. When I think sable brown, I have in mind a dark brown mink coat. Well no, it's not that color. The threads and lighting contribute to how the color. When the lights are on, it's predominantly a dark beige/brown and silver. When the lights are low, it does look more brown and the silver color is mostly eliminated. The nap of the carpet flows in different directions and this makes the color change too. I do agree that the Great Offer Stock pictures are not accurate in the color, except for showing the silver flow. I am using it with a dark gray/pewter chair and steel blue sofa. It goes very well with those colors. I wish we could post pictures as that would give people a better idea of what it's like in different settings. I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy it again.

This rug sheds constantly - horrible. Don't buy this rug. It shed constantly - strings all over my house - and it's just me and my husband. I ordered the Safavieh Silken Shag Titanium Shag rug for my living room and that one held up beautifully. And the color is stunning.

Feels so silky! I actually ordered this rug by accident. I thought I was ordering a different rug-but I kept it because I LOVE it! It's so silky and soft under my bare feet. My 1 year old nephew wouldn't leave it alone! A few of the pieces of the rug came off, but it still looks great!
