Odd Weave / Deep Gold Color Throughout I was so excited to see through the clear packing - the color was perfect. The back of the rug was perfect - mostly ivory with a gold color running thru it every third stitch or row. Opened the rug and that gold became more predominant. The thread is heavier and longer than the ivory and becomes equal to the ivory in overall color. Much more so than what is depicted online. The rug is woven with one row of very large ivory yarn looped, a set of fine ivory thread shags in a row and then a row of the gold in a longer heavier fuzzy thread shag. Odd. Not bad, but peculiar.

Beautiful, but hard It's a beautiful, rich looking rug. The only thing is, it is very hard. The twisted wool fibers feel like rope to walk on. Maybe they will soften with time. This is best to be used in an area where shoes will be worn.
