Useless as a kids box spring I bought this for my son's first "big boy bed", however you can't use a guard rail with it. We tried a single rail, but it falls off pretty much immediately, it just slithers out from between the matt and box. So we got a connected 2 side rail, and it's just pushing the cover for the box spring down. We're going to give this one away and buy a traditional box because this is pretty useless.

You need some type of support. I honestly wouldn't use it on a daubed though. I have it on top of some slats and with the mattress the bed iistoo tall. I'm trying to configure something so it won't sit do high. Be sure to check the measurements. The box spring is taller than I needed.
