Nice I am pleased with this ottoman. It is made of good quality materials. The only issue I had was I noticed the trays were getting all scratched and dinged only two days after I had it. While investigating the reason I found a staple sticking up from the base where the trays sit. Once I removed it no more damage was done. Before you put the trays down check all the wood!

Functional and sleek ottoman. I received my ottoman in a timely manner with no parts damaged or missing. The dark brown and black were precisely what I was aiming for; and therefore, the reviews that I read prior to purchasing this product that stated cautions about the color scheme only pushed me towards taking the plunge. The leather on the product is very taut, but appears to be of a good quality that can take some hard-hits. This is not your plush lounging ottoman, but it is still an extremely functional and painless footrest. I could not be more pleased with the functionality of the compartments! The two flip-tops are also divided in the center of the ottoman, (so that the fourth edge of the table top has something to rest on evenly) which I absolutely love. The storage area is quite deep and ideal for hiding blankets, books, and I would assume childrens toys. The ottoman looks classy regardless of the configuration of the tops (whether they both expose the trays/both expose the cushions/or one and one). The lip on the trays is a good few inches deep, so using this area as an eating surface is a little unrealistic unless you want to have the whole cushion on your thighs up off the ottoman, or if you'd like to hunch over and be wary of the change in height. For all other displays, however, the trays are perfect. All surfaces are non-porous and wipe clean very easily. The only downfall of this product for me would have to be the fact that the legs (which are the only assembly; screwed in by hand) do not line up perfectly. To get each one to face the proper angle, some of the legs are a bit loose, twisting easily when touched. I would assume this is not a problem for everyone considering it is probably luck of the draw with the accuracy of the holes drilled; also, as I do not move the ottoman much, it has not seriously bothered me or made me feel like I made a bad decision.

Perfect fit I read several of the reviews, and was a little nervous about ordering this product. The ottoman's color is just as it is described, espresso, which goes great with all of our living room furniture. There were no defects upon arrival. The trays are perfect. The overall size is just as it states. This is not a huge ottoman, but goes great in a medium size living room. Plenty of storage space for blankets and other items. Very happy with this purchase.

Disappointed I had been looking all over for an ottoman like this ~ with a lot of storage and the option of turning the top into trays. This is the only one that I could find. I was nervous about ordering it online without seeing it in person first, but took a chance and ordered it based on the great reviews that it was getting. It arrived 11 days after I ordered it. When I first opened the box, I was shocked by how dark the leather was. I was expecting it to be a dark brown, but the color I received is more like a light black. When I unpacked one of the tray tops, I noticed a scratch that was about an inch and a half long in the wood on the side of one of the trays. There were also some long threads coming out of the seam of the leather. I knew right then that I had made a mistake. After three days, the long piece of leather that goes around the top, covering the area between the wood of the tray and the leather of the cushion came completely off. My husband was able to glue it back on, but neither of us are confident that it will stay on for long. The feet are separate, and have to be screwed on. They also are not square - one side has an angle to it, so when you are screwing it on, you need to have it end up so that the angle is on the outside, so that all of the feet match. I cannot get mine tight enough, and have them line up at the same time. We have had the ottoman for about three weeks now, and there are already two spots where the leather is kind of stretching over the corner, and looks like it will rip. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the quality of this piece, and will not be ordering anything like this again without seeing it in person.

Yikes! Yes it has a warning. I purchased this ottoman in October 2015 for my son. I just called him and he read me the warning on the bottom on the ottoman. It says "Warning: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer".

I heard that because of laws in California (much like the laws mandated for catalytic converters being needed on cars there) they are required to mention the warning proposal for the chemicals used to make items with faux leather or leatherette items. This would include handles on some purses, luggage and other items with such trim like furniture, flooring, car parts and so on. But many items are made with the same such ingredients that have no warning at all. I was told the chemical components are not dangerous once the items are done being processed or made. This is what I have heard. There is info on the web. Hope it helps.
