The quality of the chair is pretty good except that when one sits on it the front part's upholstery gets really wrinkled - it should be more firm and not so easy to slide down from. The delivery of this item is another story...The chair comes in two gigantic boxes and requires assembly. Additionally, the UPS was refusing to bring it into the house despite the fact that we paid additional *** for the inside the house delivery...So, aside from delivery fee that did not buy us what we paid for and the time spent assembling the piece, the chair itself is good-looking and comfortably firm. The front cushion could use additional firmness toward the edge of the seat, but we will keep and enjoy it anyway.
Thought this chair is smaller than we expected, it is just the right size for our living room desk. The finishes - wood and upholstery are excellent.
Design was good-as advertised. But upholstery is grade B sewing. Worst feature is the legs are not even. The chair rocks. I will need to find a way to fix this. too large an item to return.
I bought two of these chairs based on the great reviews. The one chair looked really great, the second, however must have been worked on by 2 separate upholsterers. The upholstery nails were place perfectly on the left side of the chair. The right side from the top of the right arm to the floor was wavy like a snake or an S. Rather than return the chair, I found upholstery tacks on Amazon that matched the ones on the chairs and proceeded to straighten the lines. This is no easy task for an amateur, but the top of the arm looks good now....., and the front of the arm is still a work in progress. There is still a slight bow in the placement of the tacks, but I can live with it until I get them all placed like they should be. The other issue is that the seats are hard. My first thought thought was these were the perfect chairs for guests you don't want to stay very long. They do soften up with use, but it felt like I was sitting on wood the first few times. The back of each chair is also hard. More padding is needed. I added thin cushions to make the chairs comfortable. I Pros: All, in all, they are pretty good now. The fabric is really nice. I love the navy blue. They look great, and they are not uncomfortable any more.
