The quality of the bunk bed itself is fantastic. And the color/finish is beautiful. I purchased this bed because it has stairs vs. the traditional ladder, which I am NOT a fan of for multiple reasons. However, it was very labor-intensive to put together (maybe because I assembled it on my own with only four assists from my Mom; LOL). Most of the assemblage is done with an Allen Wrench and a few of the holes you need to make yourself with a screwdriver. I also needed my 110 lb. 15 year old daughter to sit on the stair portion so that I could align some of the holes. The assembly was what it was, but two things that I was disappointed in was the fact that the drawers that are in the stairs are not as long as they could/should be. They only open halfway vs. the actual length of the track. I really wish they would've made the drawers the length of the track. It's just a misuse of space. These drawers could hold twice the amount, yet they don't because they're not as long as they need to be. Also, it DOES NOT come with the trundle. Apparently, this is to be purchased separately. I opted not to do so and just used the under-the-bed area as additional storage. All in all though, this IS a REALLY good bunk bed to purchase.
