I purchased the VIGO Chrome-Finished Brass Kitchen Soap Dispenser with a new Kraus faucet in 2012. Looks great and durable, but I expected that. Installation couldn't be easier. Fits standard size fixture hole on a sink perfectly. Simply run the bottle up from the bottom and screw down the top pieces on the threaded bottle open where it comes through the top of your counter/sink and you are done. Then it's fill the bottle from the top with Dawn dish soap and drop in the pump.
The pump was the hard part for me due to finding one that had some real durability and longevity. To be fair, this one is still going through the test of time aspect. This is the third one of these I've purchased and I'm grateful I did. Originally I had several different manufacturers offerings, but none of them would last more than two months on the pump with simple daily usage. Yes, after half dozen of the pumps being replaced, including one that was already broke when I received it, their warranties would cover the replacement, but what good is a replacement when it only last maybe two months and you have to replace it again? It was time for a change.
I took a chance and bought the Vigo product. The original was a cast housed pump instead of the plastic. So far so good. Two years later it finally gave up. Two years though compared to two months was a definite improvement even after realizing the warranty had expired. So, I purchased another one, only to find out they had went to the plastic pump as well. I called the supplier immediately to raise a fuss, but ultimately it was what I had to work with. Guess what! It's still works great now after a year, works better than the cast one did, and no complaints. Just one squirt is enough to wash your hands and two can tackle a majorly greasy large frying pan using Dawn dish soap. That made buying a third one, this one, a cinch.
I just purchased an older home that's getting some remodeling done on the kitchen and my wife and I loved the original Kraus faucet and Vigo soap dispenser so much that we ordered the same setup for our new home. As the saying goes, If Momma is happy, everyone is happy. If Momma is not happy, no one is happy. Thankfully, Momma is happy. :o)
