Bought this last year knowing that I was building an addition. This item was kept in storage unit in original packing until I opened it last week. The main log is cracked and there is fog patch on inside of glass insert. Because it has been 9 months, no one can help me. Although the item looks good, the area that holds the insert in place does not align great..still, would be worth what I paid if not for the main log issue. Customer service says that had I paid for extended warranty I'd be covered. If extended warranty was offered , I didn't notice, as I almost always purchase it. Frustrated !!
EDIT...JUST GOT OFF PHONE WITH COMPANY DIRCTLY... Inquired about purchasing replacement insert. I was told, "no ma'am , your product is definitely still under warranty, we will gladly ship you a new insert ...at no charge ". Now had I listened to the Great Offer Stock rep, I'd be looking at a broken log until I bit the bullet to buy something I had just bought !! Kudos to Real Flame for being about customer service and standing behind their products :)
