Great Chair - Quick and easy assembly We needed some adirondack chairs to go around our fire pit. After reading many reviews and deciding that I wanted synthetic wood as opposed to repeat maintenance - I went with the Highwood Westport. I am so happy I did, they arrived so fast (in two days) and took about 5 minutes each chair to put together. They look amazing and more importantly they are so comfortable. I know we will enjoy them for many years to come. Great purchase. Great product. Great Service.

Great Adirondack- style chairs! So pleased that I purchased these wonderful chairs - bought four. They are simple to assemble - did it alone. The color choices are good as is the price. They have been out on our very sunny deck all summer and look as new as the day they arrived. They are study and comfortable with a flat arm to set a phone or drink. I recommend buying this chair if you seek the classic Adirondack style. Could not be happier. Everyone loves them! A year later (November 2016) - These great chairs weathered a very hot and dry summer here in New York! They look as good as when we first bought them. They continue to be comfortable, strong and stylish. So happy to have them from Great Offer Stock.

Maintenence Free I bought these to replace a set of wood Adirondack chairs that I have used for several years. I have had to repaint those and make repairs many times, so I was looking for something that had a wood look but was more maintenance free. The synthetic wood or composite chairs are usually extremely expensive. These are a nice compromise. They are a heavy weight so won't blow over, are made well and best of all are basically maintenance free. They clean off with a wet rag and the color is through and through. No painting. No rotting. They come mostly assembled, just had to attached a few things, very simple to do. The hardware was nice quality and the holes all lined up and they went together nice and tight. They do have a more plastic look and feel up close than some of the more expensive chairs, but they look great in the yard and I am pretty pleased with them all around. I do think they will last for a long time. Loved the price. Will be ordering 2 more.

Adirondack chair In the past I've purchased adirondack chairs which required a stain or painted finish. Unfortunately, not only did they not hold their paint well (despite priming and proper application), the arms lost their grip with their glue. In this synthetic highwood adirondack chair, I have the weight and feel of a classic wood chair that has the color all the way through and enough weight that it will not blow off a dock. Assembly was reasonably easy (although I did pull out a power screw driver and appropriate tips). I was a bit surprised that the chairs are smaller in scale than I expected, but because of that they will actually work better on our dock and my husband still found them comfortable at 6' (and well padded).

Using hot soapy water and a stiff bristle brush will remove surface dirt and grime. Stubborn stains can be removed with a water-based cleaner (E.g. Windex, 409, Pledge, Murphy™s Oil Soap, Simple Green, etc.). You can also use a power washer with a medium/wide nozzle setting to clean the surface of the product. Never use cleaners containing aromatic solvents on highwood material. If your product is white and you see that dirt and surface contaminants are causing a dirty/brownish tint, an extra step can be taken. Use a 75% bleach and 25% water mixture and wipe the surfaces down. Allow the mixture to remain on the product for an hour, then rinse thoroughly. (Be sure to do this in a safe location and protect your eyes, skin, and wear old clothes).

Sorry I can't provide you with an answer as we live in the South (North Carolina) and our winters are mild. Ours are in constant sun on the deck and are doing fine. I expect they may fade a little. We also have two placed permanently on our dock so we'll see how they fare over the next year. We obviously like the. As we now have two sets, but being from Canada, we call them Muskoka Chairs. 😉

I received two white chairs for Mother's Day a few years ago. The chairs are on our dock year-round. They have not faded, but do get a bit mildewy due to being on the water.
