I purchased two Cameron 29-inch Dark Oak Swivel Bar Stools and in the process of assembly noticed a cracked footrest and a cracked backrest. The cracks are small - hairline in the backrest - and can be mended with properly applied glue. Problem with footrest, however, is that is will crack in half at some point after people have rested their feet on it so many times. I figure three months at best.
The product itself is good, of medium grade quality, given its price. In that respect, I am satisfied, as the old adage says, "You get what you pay for."
My concern is not with Great Offer Stock but with the manufacturer or assembly or distribution plant. The footrest is shoddy. You can see it cracked during production. I suspect packing further damaged the finished product. Made numerous attempts to call Mintra customer service (at least I think that is the company). Voice mail mail box is perpetually full (that alone raises suspicion) and it is impossible to leave a message or even to speak to a representative. Woman's voice recording mumbles and you cannot ascertain the company's name.
We will see what transpires over the next few days. As I said, I like the stools and they go well with my other furniture. Still, future buyers beware. I hope this is not a case of lipstick on a pig.
Follow-up. Finally reached someone at whatever the name of the distributor is (still can't make out the garbled voice), but was assured I would receive a new footrest and, if available, a new backrest. The representative was pleasant and professional.
