Beautiful headboard for a great price I was looking for a brown metal headboard for our guest room bed. This headboard was exactly what I was looking for. The furniture is a dark brown so I needed a dark brown/bronze color. This is exactly that color. I wanted a headboard made specifically for a full size bed and not one that could be used for a full or a queen. I read too many reviews that complained these headboards were too big for the full size mattress/frame. The size of this one is a perfect fit. The price is very reasonable and it took me 15 minutes to unpack and attach to my frame. I highly recommend this frame.

Love my headboard! Easy to put together and install for one person. The color is definitely hammered brown as described. So don't be fooled into thinking it might be oil rubbed bronze though. It looks great in my bedroom. Helped to give the room a more industrial feel.

I also have a king size bed, so I had to add a piece of wood to my bedframe. By doing that it allowed me to center the headboard to the mattress and attach the frame. I'm also a senior and completed it all by myself ...looks like it was made to fit a King size mattress. Remember no one will see the board you attached, I used a leftover piece of deck flooring,it was the width and thickness I wanted. It was a bit taller (about 2-3 inches), however like I stated before no one will see it! I also pre drilled my holes and attached my board to my frame than attached the headboard. Good luck!

I ordered the size for a full bed. It fit perfectly, so I assume the queen size would as well. Your metal mattress frame, at the head, will have a metal bracket with holes already drilled. The bracket is a universal feature for most mattress frames, allowing the frames to be used with a wide variety of headboards. Attachment is very easy since, holes are already pre-drilled in the metal headboard, and screws to attach are provided. The headboard looks heavy and substantial, but is actually light - not flimsy, but light. I am an average size 70 year old woman and was able to attach by myself. A screw driver and a small pair of pliers would be helpful for the final twists to ensure the bolts are tight. Don't know what you mean by legs open at the bottom. The legs themselves are tubes, so they are hollow, however, plastic caps are provided for the bottom of the tube or legs so that they will not scratch the floor. Simply push or tap into place. Very, very easy. And the result looks very good. I am pleased with the product and would recommend. All total, took me less than 30 minutes to open the package, organize the pieces, and put together, .And for the price, you can't miss. Go for it ! Webb D

There are parts in the box that you attached to the bed frame. I haven't put mind on yet but I have both these and they are very easy to put together. The legs are in a separate box from the screws. And yes it fits queen or full.
