The base is a good weight but it's hard to get the screw tight enough to hold the umbrella in it to prevent spinning. This base looks nice too!

Haven't actually hooked it up yet BUT the knob to tighten is all broken! Now I have to see what I can do to replace the screw/knob.

This is a nice looking stand but it has a problem holding the umbrella in place and keep it from spinning. Have to adjust the screw and tighten several times throughout the day. If you don't have a lot of wind like we do this will be perfect for you as it is very sturdy and looks nice.

Heavy and perfect fot market umbrellas

I was a little leery purchasing a umbrella stand that was more expensive than my umbrella itself. However I'm am extremely pleased with product. Holds down my umbrella on a second story windy deck very well. That being said I don't leave the umbrella open on extremely windy days. It is not difficult to move around and I also believe it will hold up well to the weather. Would purchase again.
