"Do I need a box spring for this frame ? Or will a mattress be sufficient"
Nice frame but we added plywood under mattress for support it needs larger support at the top an bottom so mattress does not fall through and sheet can hold under when tucked in. Looks great and seems sturdy.

Great bed frame but wont need a box spring Got the bed frame and my husband put it together in about an hour. Quality is great and the price I thought was fair. The only issue I had was that we had a standard box spring with our mattress. Together it made the bed really high and the mattress came up over the head board. I called Sleep train and had to exchange my box spring for what they call a bunkey board. I guess this is a 2" board that you can put underneath the mattress for support. The other option would have been a 4" low profile box spring not sure how that will look. The 2" option will prob be fine and look like the bed looks in the picture. You wont be able to go without some sort of support because the corners of the mattress will start to sink through the support bars. Hope this helps....

Samantha I just recently purchased this bed. It's the third bed I've purchased from Great Offer Stock.com. It was so simple to put together. The directions were explicit and simple to follow. I have a mattress and box springs on this bed. I love a high bed. I can easily sweep under the bed and I love that design factor. It's a quality purchase for a great prices. I have furnished three bedrooms of my home with greatofferstock.com furniture. I don't even consider going to furniture stores anymore. : )

Surprised by quality One never knows what a product is really like when buying online. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the well-designed and very good quality of this bed frame. It is made in China, but is good quality (yes you might fine higher quality - but for much more money). It is made of medium thickness steel throughout (quite adequate), so it is durable but not overly heavy and can be moved (by sliding) with some moderate effort. Being an engineer, I was impressed with the welding technique employed to join the many parts together and each weld was carefully ground and smoothed - it was really a good welding job. The paint was of good quality and done with care - no drips, runs or beading of the paint. This was a flat black color. The bed supports have higher quality threaded taps in the steal for assembly with supplied metal screws. Took about 45 minutes to put together. If you do not have any quarrels with steel as a bed frame vs. wood, then this frame is a reasonable choice. Shipping and delivery had zero issues.

Very Nice Bed Frame The package came in two boxes, both at the same time. It was easy to put together, one person can do it, but I highly recommend a second person to help. The bed frame was as advertised. It looks great and when all bolts were tightened it is very sturdy. Instructions state that it can hold 750 lbs. when mattress is on. I really like the metal slats, and how easy it all came together. Great price too! You will not go wrong with this purchase.
