I received the bed exactly when Great Offer Stock said it would arrive. For people who are used to buying things off Amazon and waiting up to a week for the 3-5 business day shipping to kick in, this was a huge bonus.
The bed itself was super easy to assemble. I'm not the strongest guy in the world, so I thought I'd require my son's help, but with the exception of holding this piece or the other while they were screwed down, I was able to do it by myself. The instructions were a tiny bit confusing because individual bags of hardware weren't labeled (and about half the bolts in the 8 that bolt the bed to its feet were shorter by a centimeter - about 1/3 inch- than others), but once I got past which bolts to use for the main brackets, I was able to put the bed together within about 30 minutes.
I was dubious about tossing my box springs away and left them in the corner of the bedroom the first few nights, but am ecstatic to report that I actually sleep better without them than I do with. The support that this bed's frame offers is superior in every way to the box springs (Sealy Posturepedics) I'd previously been using, and without changing mattresses, I now sleep more comfortably through the night than I have since I purchased the mattress. The mattress feels like it did the day I tested it in the store; I'm so pleased!
The only ongoing concern that I have about the bed is the "foot board" - the piece of the frame at the foot of the bed. The wood is sturdy enough, I guess, but every time I try to vacuum underneath the bed on that side, the board bends in with the vacuum.
The combination of the poorly labeled hardware and the foot board are reason enough to knock off half a star, but since I can't give 4.5 stars, I'm rounding up. This is an *excellent* purchase for the price.
