This is a really nice rug. The color (ocean) is a good description. I would call it Atlantic Ocean blue. The blue has more of a deep aqua appearance. What makes this rug unique is the textured pattern design on the edges. If you are looking for a rug for a room that already has busy patterns, this is a great way to go. The design adds texture, but not patterns or colors. This is beautiful in a coastal-themed room with blue, beige, and brown tones. It really would work well with many decors. I did not purchase a rug pad, but so far it does not seem to need one despite its placement over a tile floor. The pile is not plush, but very adequate. I would purchase this rug again.
This rug is nice and thick and although it is a natural rug, it is very easy on the feet. The colors match my area very well and it is perfect in my kitchen which is where I bought it to go. This rug is very well constructed - even edges, very plush pile, crisp colors. Well worth the price!
Rug is thick, colors were accurate. Kathy Ireland rugs are beautifully designed. Unfortunately the synthetic yarn has a sheen. I should have spent the extra money for a wool rug.
