This is a beautiful rug. Although the colors are clear and pretty, they're subtle enough to make this a fairly neutral rug. Colors are true to online photos - a pale aqua (blue-green) background with pale yellow, rust, burgundy, and teal "flowers" - olive green, tan, and cream accents. The warm yellow, rust, and burgundy accents balance the color palette enough so that it's not too cool and ties in accent colors. In my search for a living room rug it came down to 2 choices, so I purchased both in the 2x3 size knowing I can always toss these little ones in the bathroom or entry. It's gorgeous and was the subtler and prettier of my 2 choices, but in the end it came down to wool vs synthetic with pets, and synthetic won (they're both from the same high quality manufacturer). I may still buy it in case I get tired of the other one!
