I wanted a laptop with a built-in CD/DVD drive and this was one of Lenovo's last models to include this feature. Initially I was put off that it wasn't a factory refurb, but from a company in New Jersey called Joy Systems, although my concerns were unnecessary. The laptop specs actually exceeded the listed specs, 1600x900 video, 16 GB ram, USB 3, etc. I did my homework and knew some of this ahead of time. The screen is flawless and battery life around 4 hours. YMMV. My only quibble is that instead of replacing worn parts (keyboard, track pad, palm rests) Joy Systems instead covered them with black, tactile contact paper. Initially I knew the keyboard was different (maybe a Chinese aftermarket part?), but it took a week to notice the stickers. The covering on the right palm rest didn't fit right and I called them for a replacement. When I peeled off the original...the plastic underneath looked brand new! I suspect the laptop shows wear somewhere, but am still highly pleased with my purchase.
