Mother of the Groom I was looking for something the color of "merlot" for my son's wedding and this seems to fit the bill, being not too red, not too purple, just the right combination of both. The fit is good and seems to run true, other than the length. On my 5'3" frame it sweeps my feet and when my arms are down the sleeves are too long. I was hoping for a tea length dress with 3/4 length sleeves, like it shows on the model. So this dress is not for the short woman! Other than that, the dress is beautiful, feels elegant on, and the beading is classy, not cheap looking. For that reason, I am going to keep it and see if I can have it shortened in both the hem and the sleeves. Wish me luck!

This dress is true to size. The under layer is similar to a slip dress with a little stretch. I bought it in the 18W plum color and really liked it but I decided to go with a gown for a wedding. It was too late to return it so it hangs in my closet until my next event.
