These are wonderful. I had wanted some good basic everyday cotton sheets that also felt great. These remind of the wonderful crisp cotton percale sheets I grew up with but didn't know were still made. Old style luxe These are wonderful. I had wanted some good basic everyday cotton sheets that also felt great. Great sheets! I love these sheets because they're extremely comfortable on the skin. The deep fitted sheet is well sized and easy to put on my queen bed. The embroidery is well sewn and beautiful. They do wrinkle, but of course, natural cotton always does. It is worth a few wrinkles to have comfortable well-made bedding. Highly recommend.

I hate, hate, hate sateen sheets. Too hot, feel cheap and they pill. I've been searching everywhere for sheets like these. These are sheets like you had as a kid but actually even better. They're crisp and cool and feel like they're line-dried. Really beautiful feel and just phenomenal to crawl into bed in. I expect them to lose a tad of the crispness as they are washed/dried, just like the 180 count percale sheets of old that still felt absolutely amazing (these are 300 count and just exactly right). Were these sheets produced correctly, they would be "crisp" and wrinkle easily, which is precisely what they do. My wife and I have been on the prowl for great percale sheets for the past ten years. The industry shift to cheap, sateen bedding took us by surprise, frankly. Who wants this sateen junk that retains too much heat, stretches easily, pills easily, and wears out quickly? Suddenly, sheets like these became as rare as hen's teeth, leaving us (and apparently many, many others) scrambling. Problem solved!! Great Percale Sheets The previous reviewer doesn't seem to understand, or appreciate, the qualities of percale cotton. The harder, crisp finish is the hallmark of this quality of sheet. The soft hand of sateen is actually a less expensive fabric to produce. These percale sheets are high quality and are a bargain...particularly compared to prices a few years ago. I am impressed with the dimensions of the top sheet, too. Many competitor's sheets will not accommodate the extra depth of today's mattresses. It would be nice to see sheets with selvage once again, but I suppose hemmed edges are here to stay. If you like percale, you will like these sheets.

you're doing nothing wrong-that's the way they are. Over time, it will quiet somewhat with multiple washings, but the 'cool, crisp " is so worth it if you get warm in the night. Great for summer sheets.

What you call "plastic" I call "papery". Ill take these sheets any day over the "sateen" weave which as you can read here, pills and wears out faster not to mention how hot those sheets are. I, like many others, prefer the crisp cool sheets called percale and I love pointehaven. Be careful, there are counterfeit percale sheets out there. I had to send my first two attempts back (harsh and smelled like ant spray and not percale, just awful. So when on my 3rd attempt, I found Pointehaven and am thrilled. One of these reviews suggest washing them first in borax and vinegar. I'm such a nut for "crisp sheets that I won't even put them in the dryer which would soften them. I just hang them on the laundry line

Never have heard of sheets referred like the above. I absolutely love these sheets because they remind me of sheets at a high end hotel. They are crisp which makes them feel extra clean. I hate hate those soft sheets that get the balls on them. In the past 3 years I have bought about 6 sets of these sheet and they will continue to be the only ones I will ever buy. Go to Bed Bath and Beyond to get the baby soft sheets. They are horrible and actually cost more than these!!

I purchased these sheets last spring and have not slept on them myself, so I asked my brother and his wife, who have slept on them. They had the same experience you did--very crackly and plastic-feeling. Note that these sheets have only been washed once or twice--maybe they get better with more washing? I did purchase some other percale ones on Great Offer Stock that are wonderful though--instead of the straight embroidery, they have a wavy or scalloped pattern.

I bought these sheets on Great Offer Stock and LOVE them. But in answer to your question, percale sheets absolutely wrinkle. It's one of their characteristics so you won't find ANY percale sheets that don't wrinkle.

True percale sheets wrinkle. Period. They're supposed to be crisp and feel very clean, unlike microfiber or sateen. You're not supposed to put them in the dryer except for about 5-10 minutes. Then you're supposed to hang them out. True percale are old-fashioned sheets -- before dryers -- and when people weren't adverse to ironing them (especially the tops). I drape my damp sheets over the bed and let them air dry. Most wrinkles are gone.

These should do the trick for you. The percale is very crisp and should be cooler than almost any other option. They come out of the drier as wrinkle-free as any 100% cotton sheet will. Dry out doors in the sunshine for super luxury.

Yes to cool, no to wrinkle free. Percale weave is known for its cool touch and does not retain too much heat, but good all-cotton percale wrinkles, period. If it doesn't wrinkle, it's not fine percale, which is why many iron it. We just put it on the bed wrinkled and "sleep it" flat. These are fantastic sheets!

I also get warm when I sleep and that's why I love these sheets. They are cool and comfy. However, I would not call them non-wrinkle. But it you put them on when they are still warm from the dryer, the wrinkling will be minimal. Hard to find non-wrinkle and cool both. Because the non-wrinkle sheets generally have a little polyester in them, and that's why they make you hot!!
