I am very pleased with the end result. This fireplace entertainment unit is beautiful and adds great atmosphere. That being said, it is a terror to assemble. My husband and his father were burdened with this task ( both mechanics) and the process took about four hours between the two of them. Perhdd you will have better luck, but IKEA this ain't!
I live in a condo and this unit is the perfect size for entertaining on my patio. I have another one that I take camping and they work great.
Love the look of the entertainment center, however the pieces did not fit and required additional drilling and adjusting to get the front doors to work. We order from Great Offer Stock all the time so knew a call would require us to return the whole unit as Great Offer Stock does not replace pieces of furniture, they replace whole unit. We had already built the unit, so it was not worth returning. The pre-drilled hinge holes were not correct and when used the doors overlapped. My husband had to take off, measure and drill new holes for the unit. In the end it worked out and the table is perfect for our space. Would have rated it with higher marks if it all came together easily.
We ordered this item as an entertainment center for our ground floor TV. The TV is wall-mounted, so we just needed something sturdier than what we had for all of the devices (cable box, DVD player, wi-go units, etc). It was the perfect size for the space we had and it is much sturdier than the piece we were using. We love the rustic look!
