Story Behind the Art:
Bags made of 100-percent regular cycled canvas fabric. There is no dyeing on these fabrics, just washed and rewashed to reuse the fabric. Ashwani always was uneasy when he saw hundreds of yards of canvas mostly used as tarps for trucks are just thrown away by truckers. When he started looking into it he found that some companies do buy these tarps and ship them to other countries to be reused just as tarps. He wondered? Can he do something with this? He remembered having a school bag using cotton used fabric, as that is all his parents could afford. Why not make bags using this canvas? It was hard work to get these thick canvases cleaned up but he found a way and started making bags.
