I love this piece. It's very heavy, thick wood. The finish is smooth, yet has a rustic feel. I absolutely love this bench. It feels as if it belongs in a ski lodge, but I've put it in my formal living room to act as a room divider.

This bench looks just like the picture. It is really solid wood and beautiful.

I purchased this sight-unseen to use as a fireplace bench and bench when the grands visit. When I opened the box I was stunned at the beauty of the wood. It is glorious. Oh, and the parts went together easily and it is very solid/sturdy. I am so glad I purchased it.
