I have two pet gates and love them. This extension worked perfectly to make the gate fit my hallway. I would deffinitely recommend this to my friends.

I ordered the extension for the Carlson Pet Gate in order to span a large opening. It's very sturdy and I am impressed that the gate is still strong and solid, even with the added extension. Don't make the mistake I made and assume that just because the gate itself can be adjusted that you can order an extension based on the minimum gate size that is listed...you can't. Measure your opening and choose your gate extension based on the maximum number of inches that gate can expand to. Otherwise the "wing" you see in the picture will hit the side of your opening and make it impossible to even fit the gate in it.

I purchased two of the gates. Basedased on the advertised width measurements of the gates, I purchased an two additional extensions. I didn't need them. The gates are wider than the dimensions stated.

Easy to install. Keeps my dogs from attacking the front door and licking people to death. They still can see what is going on. Not closed most of the time, but invaluable when it is needed. We have 3 dogs ranging from 60# to 12#. A more boisterous dog may knock it down, but it works in our case
