Easy to use; super easy. My husband makes great jerky.

This little dehydrator works very well. Although it's slightly noisy it gets the job done. Pros: It's fairly quiet, good temp control and the trays stack well. Cons: The trays are a bit shallow so product must be relatively small to stack the trays.

Getting ready to order a second one

When I bought this, I was so excited to try out dehydrating. It became almost a daily thing! This dehydrator has three settings- low, medium, and high. It's pretty simple to use. The guide that comes with it is helpful for first timers. We dried everything from bananas, apples, pineapple, strawberry, kiwi.. To tomatoes, sweet potatoes (homemade leathers for the dogs)...& this little machine made the best beef jerky we have made so far!!! Comparing to an Excalibur, this device does not have the capacity...but the results were WONDERFUL AND VERY CONSISTENT! One tiny drawback.... No timer and auto shut off. What I love about this was the fruit roll up tray! The kids LOVED that. I truly don't get the same results in the Excalibur as I do with that tray!! It needed to come with 5 instead of just one though. If you're starting with dehydrating- this is the one you want to use!!! Happy dehydrating!!

Bought this to replace an old dehydrator. Wasn't looking to spend a lot as I only use this 4 or 5 times a year. This fit the bill perfectly.

It's really hard to find additional trays for this, although you are supposed to be able to add 4 more. Otherwise, i'm very happy with the purchase.

I felt the food stuck to the grates was a problem.. tried drying banana chips

This is first year we have had so many tomatoes, so I dried about a bushel...plain...in olive oil, various flavors. Also made zucchini potatoes chips...This dehydrator is the best I have ever seen and such easy clean up...dishwasher....

I've never owned a dehydrator before. It's big! I made space for it permanently on my counter, but it works well. It's easy to clean.

This is an excellent value! I've made jerky and dried fruit and vegetables and they turn out fabulous! Easy to use and clean. I highly recommend!

I bought this to make chicken treats for my dogs. The chicken dehydrated as I slept. My dogs love the real chicken and I like that it is without additives and I can also eat the chicken.

I've only made Jerky a few times. No fruits and such. Works pretty well. I bought this because it can reach a higher temperature than others. I thought it would reduce the bacteria growth on the meat as it dehydrates. For several reasons that are too long to go into, I now realize that isn't true. Once you've dehydrated the meat, it's recommended that you stick it in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes to finish it off. I'm making Jerky from ground meats and using a Jerky gun to squeeze it out. One think I'm a little dissatisfied with is the shape of the trays and the hole in the middle. It makes it noticeably more time consuming to squeeze out the Jerky in a proper shape and pattern to conform to the tray. Those simple flat, rectangular trays would be much better for using a Jerky gun.
