First, I was very impressed with the packaging of these chairs. Securely wrapped and protected. The quality is great although the color is a little yellower than the photo. And they are more comfortable than expected. Just beautiful!

Setting Pretty Have wanted some woven, jute chairs for awhile. But as a cat owner, I had hesitated to buy, what may turn out to be a "scratching post" on 4 legs. : ) But the price was great, and I finally had to give in and take a chance. Comfortable and Stylish I wanted parson style dining chairs for quite a while. When I saw these I was intrigued. I ordered one to see what they were like since I had never heard of water hyacinth before. I was not disappointed. The chair was very comfortable, not stiff and there is foam padding in the seat so it has some "give". They are not scratchy and there doesn't appear to be anything to catch or snag clothing. I liked it well enough that I ordered 5 more. I chose the dark color and am very happy with the set.

Sweeeet!!! Was EXTREMELY pleased upon opening the shipping cartons. Each chair was shipped individually and every part of the chair was covered with protection against damage. The chairs are sturdy, well made and should last a long time. They are attractive and should stay in fashion. It is a chair with a padded seat and one you can stay comfortable in for extended periods.

Beautiful, Comfy Chairs Love these charis. They are so elegant yet unpretentious. I ordered two dark water hyacinth chairs to mix with my cherry and black dining room table. They add to the Tuscan look for my room. The chairs are not brittle and are very comfortable. Water hyacinth is softer than rattan or any other reed. Good buy. I am very, very pleaed.

Perfect chairs! Luv these chairs. I bought 6 of them to go with 2 upholstered chairs in our beachhouse dining room. As soon as my hubby saw how nice they looked, he ordered 2 more. They are comfortable, sturdy and very stylish. I am not sure how comfy they will be on sunburned legs, but they look great. These chairs do not have rough edges like wicker, so I think they will be much better wearing.

Scratch on the legs From the reviews I was expecting more in terms of comfort. The chairs are in our Florida home and when bare legged are not very comfortable. The seat is cushioned but the feel of the sea grass on your leg is scratchy. I will be looking for cushions to make more comfortable.

I purchased one chair in the dark color to try in my kitchen and I read the leg color as a neutral. Unless looking under very bright light directly at the legs, I believe most would assume it's an espresso finish. If you think the style, texture and color of the seat & back will compliment your table, I don't feel that the leg color will be an issue. Also, while I don't have a lot of DIY ambition, the legs could be easily painted or stained another color. Hope this helps!

These are beautiful chairs, but I don't know what style you are trying to accomplish with a farmstyle table. My table was round with large pedestal in black with medium wood color top. The chairs complimented the table. I think the dark chairs wood look good with your table though. I was going for a tropical look as I have tropical touch in my living room.

I would say yes, the dark legs would look really great in your farm kitchen scheme! I have 6 of the light chairs and I love them. They're paired with a reclaimed wood table that is dark, with iron legs, and they look fantastic. I had seen the darker chair in person and decide that for me it was too dark. I personally prefer the mix of light and dark in my dining area. The light chair is really a deep golden amber color, with some naturally dark-ish spots in the dea grass. Hope that helps.
