3D Circle Wall Panels (Pack of 10)
I love the look and I'm very happy with the end result. People have been very complimentary, and it's something you don't see every day. My biggest take away is plan ahead!
First I measured my wall horizontally and vertically. I chose the circular pattern because I was able to install full panels horizontally. I added a piece of quarter round on each side to fill in the small gap left on each side. Vertically, the bottom row consists of panels cut in half.
I was surprised to find that the panels were a stiff cardboard. It makes them easy to cut and they are lightweight. I first put them up with Command strips, but it didn't like the gaps between panels. I re-installed with construction adhesive and was much happier with the overall look. If you are renting, you can definitely make Command strips work.
You will want to prime these before painting. I would also recommend that you spray paint the panels prior to putting them on the wall. If your room is unfinished, you can put them up and then have them spray painted. It is very difficult and time consuming to paint by hand because of the circular patterns going in multiple directions. After a lot of trial and error, I painted with a good quality 2-inch brush (for hours). I also chose a metallic paint which shows the brush marks. It's still beautiful, but a flat paint would be easier if painting by hand.
In spite of the hours involved, I would highly recommend these panels. The reaction is always "WOW, that is cool!"
