Buy Durable pad instead
I debated about whether to buy the Premium, Superior or Durable carpet pad offered by Great Offer Stock. I assumed that the more expensive pad (Premium or Superior) was better quality than the less expensive (Durable) so I chose the Superior which was middle-of-the-road in price. The Superior is fine, but I recently ordered another rug pad (9 x 12) and decided to try the Durable instead since it was cheaper. I was shocked by the fact that for less money, the quality seemed so much better. The Durable is the Safeviah brand and it is noticeably thicker than the Superior pad. In my opinion, it is a much better value unless you prefer a thinner rug pad. Hope this helps you in your decision-making.

I bought the Superior Hard Surface and Carpet Rug Pad (5' x 8') at the same time that I bought the (5' x 8') Hand-tufted ****** Wool Rug. I've been very pleased with the rug pad. It's held up very well, under heavy traffic, not like another rug pad that I purchased from another vendor for another rug. (That one practically disintegrated after a year in a high traffic area and was quite expensive.) The Superior Hard Surface and Carpet Rug Pad (5' x 8') is great quality for the price.

Excellent Pad
Great pad for your expensive tufted or hand knotted carpet. Will make it feel softer, thicker, and preserve its life. will not allow any slippage on your floor even without furniture on it. Highly recommend and the price is better than what you will pay at a carpet store for same. The precut on the 6 X 9 is about 3/4 to 1 inch less in measure than actual all the way around which is exactly what you want, no cutting required before laying.

Spring for the Premium pad!
I bought two premium rug pads but couldn't find one in the 3x5 size I needed for a third rug, so I bought a Superior. WRONG!! The Premium pads are SO much better made, feel a lot plusher, and cost very little more than the Superior. If you're in the market for a rug pad, BUY THE PREMIUM PAD! I wish I had done that, then cut it to fit. Hope this helps someone else.

There's no cushion - don't waste your money!!!!!
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. There is no cushion to this pad. It's less a quarter of an inch thick and not worth anything.

What I like about this piece is that you can 1) cut it to fit your rug 2) put it in the washer -- wouldn't suggest drying it in the machine. But if you live in an apt. or have hardwoods on a 2nd floor, this piece is a wonderful sound-dampener, and to boot, it'll make even the thinnest of rugs feel more cushy -- just a little bounce. Too, it keeps the rug from slipping. I suggest vacuuming under it once or twice a month, washing (not drying) it 2x a year. After 2+ years, still in great shape.
