    I bought two of these stools in yellow. They are very sturdy & the color is school bus yellow (very close to picture). We use them under our computer desk. I wouldn't use them at my dining table, too narrow, but good for kitchen table. Happy w/purchase.

    Hello sfrancisco, the dimensions of 9 inches wide x 18 inches deep are measured at the widest and deepest point. The 18 inches is actually the length and 9 inches is the depth of the legs.
