Very soft I love this rug. I have now ordered one for each of my children's bedroom. I would recommend a pad underneath for just a little more padding, but it can also stand on its own. It is a beautiful neutral color and goes with anything. I highly recommend this rug.

Hides the sand This rug is perfect in our beach home. It hides a lot of sins...including sand and dog hair. I have had it for 4 years and have had it cleaned 3 or 4 times...and it still looks great!

I don't know the others, but the California Cozy is very plush. The strands are soft and it's a bit more luxurious. My brother bought a safavieh shag rug (not sure the name) which is also nice, but his is more casual looking, the strands are more wire-y and less full and plush than mine. His works great in his coastal beach looking family room. My California Cozy looks great in my Hollywood glam very formal living room. Hope that helps.

It was rolled up and sealed inside of a heavy-weight clear plastic wrapper. If you are thinking you might return it, then don't cut the wrapper cause I don't know where you'd get another one.

We have two of these rugs (8x10 & 9.6 x13) and walk on them daily and have not had any problems with shedding. I turn off the brushes when i vacuum so they don't pull any of the strands out, just to be on the safe side. I purchased thick rug pads to go under each rug and it makes them feel even more plush. We really love them. We also have a black cat & large black dog (Lab) and, even after a nearly a year, they still look great and hide dirt well. Highly recommend.

"How can I get a dog pee stain out of this rug ? "

I can tell you how I got salsa vomit out of an ivory carpet!(Yes...it's gross, but life happens). Put plastic underneath, like a trash bag or shower curtain, to protect the floor. Use a laundry soap mix and wash the carpet with your fingers like your washing the dog. This gets the bottom of the fibers and the base clean. Use a little at a time! You can always wash again if needed. Soak up extra water with towel then lightly rinse with a little cold water. Don't over wet. It just makes more work later. Dry with towel then let air dry. Use a fan if possible. Try to prop up the section of carpet for airflow under the wet spot. My carpet still looks beautiful! The fibers weren't damaged from the wash. ALL the salsa came out! Bonus... it smells like fresh laundry! Hope this helps!

I have a dog, cat, and 2 young boys and this rug is extremely durable and easy to clean. It vacuums up nicely, hides dirt and pet hair (until you vacuum, of course), and is easy to spot clean. I highly recommend this rug. You won't be disappointed.

It vacuums just fine on the highest setting on your machine. My daughter got a spot of lipstick and it came out with just a wet towel. I've only had it for a few weeks in the formal living room, which doesn't get much traffic, so time will tell how it holds up.

"How to I choose shipping date?"

If possible you should choose a time when you have help - either from the delivery person if they're willing, or a strong family member - in getting the rug into the room where you want it laId out. When i arrived home after delivery it was standing against the brick wall of my small front stoop which entailed my maneuvering it first into the small entrance foyer and from there through the computer room, down a 30 foot hallway and into the master bedroom. It's a large heavy rug and being an octogenarian who lives alone all this took a few days since I didn't want to injure myself by doing too much at one time. If Overstock's delivery offers the option, you should request that notice of delivery be given you before actual delivery. In my case this would have been very helpful as I could have arranged for help at the time of delivery. A word to the wise from the voice of experience.

I was able to pull the rugs into my living room from the front porch where delivery left them so that I could shelter them until my husband was available. It does take two to carry them but they are well worth the effort. Love these rugs. I have UPS delivery notices and can arrange a convenient day for delivery but as it would be, I was away for just a short time when they were delivered. If I had been home, I would have had them placed in our garage under cover rather than on the front stoop. I managed to move them by myself just to get them into the house and I'm a senior.
