This is a good quality desk at a fair price, once you get it put together. But those are the operative words.....once you get it put together. I'll say upfront that I am not the handiest guy in the world, but I can follow instructions and have put together other desks and furniture in my lifetime. But this build was really frustrating. For starters, the directions were poor. There was limited direction and a lot of "refer to diagram" which was frequently confusing. On one page, the instructions said "attach panel D to panel E as shown in diagram" and the diagram showed panels E and F. To make matters worse, several of the parts were not labeled or the labels had fallen off somewhere so you had to try and figure out what panel you needed by referring to the confusing diagrams. Then, the package had missing or incorrect parts. For example, they had two right hand slides for the keyboard tray pullout so I had to put things on hold for a week while the left slide was delivered. I had to call support twice to correct the various problems. Both times the parts were delivered efficiently but my conversations with the support crew led me to believe they had a lot of practice handling missing parts. But when all is said and done, I did get the desk together and am pleased with the final product. But note to self....make this the last desk you put together yourself.

The material is of a good quality and you get a good value for the money spent. Assembly took some time as the design is a bit complicated with a lot of attachments and details, but it's overall at reach of the average IKEA customer like me. The space is abundant and well organized, with space for the PC accessories (keyboard, mouse and monitor) and for books/notebooks/etc... in short a great study desk for a teenager.

Needs a little bit of space for assembly but very detailed easy to follow instructions and great quality.

It looks ok, does the job, the file drawer is awesome but the overall quality of the material is pretty poor! Would not buy again for that price!

It was a little difficult to follow the directions. It came packaged well. The directions did not allow the information for the file cabinet to be attached. It was on the second set of instructions that came with the file cabient in a second box. I would recommend reading both sets of direction first. I wish it had stated that right off the bat in the beginning. It took three of us to do the desk due to the weight of it. And it is not a quick project. Allow yourself several hours to put together correctly

It arrived in a timely manner, but when we opened it the packaging was horrid. Pieces were scuffed--more than 5 pieces--but when you put it together you can't really tell. To cover the screws, there's these weird dot looking things. I originally was looking for something more on the executive style, but this looks more like it would suit a teenager/young adult. But the color and size works perfect with our decor and the space of the room so I am overall satisfied with it.
