"What is the lampshade made out of?"
The lamp is gorgeous. My only complaint is I wish it were taller. I improvised and put it on a small pedestal.

kgy The shade does not have the variations in color as depicted, nor is it peach as one reviewer reported. It does not fit properly; it is crooked. Unable to straighten it. It also arrived with a very small bit of black abrasion. It is obviously a quality lamp, but very dark.

Peach Shade If you like peach - this shade is for you - I was hoping for more amber and brown as pictured. I agree with previous viewers; it's a hefty lamp for sure and seems well made. Flowers on the base match the etched pattern on the glass lamp shade. It looks like mushroom on my desk but gives off good light to work by. Aside from the color, it's great.

Dark Beauty Quality, design, flexibility - 3 of the pluses of this lamp. It is gorgeous but, I think, not to everyone's taste as the base is black and the shade is dark as well. As I cannot deal with bright light it is perfect for me. As a matter of fact, as each of the 2 bulbs must be put on independently, I often choose to use only one bulb. I have owned a Quoizel lamp for several years and I absolutely love it so I did not hesitate to buy another. The "Glenhaven" lamp is much heavier than my older lamp but both are quality pieces and things of beauty.

Shade defect Unfortunately, the shade had white streaks running in a circular pattern throughout the circumference of it. One of the positive features of this shade is the beautiful pattern that is illuminated when lit. When that is marred because of defects that are NOT part of the pattern, it is very disappointing. Is that why Great Offer Stock has priced it below other suppliers? Now I'll be sending it back which was directions to do so were not included in the shipment. I sincerely doubt I will be using Great Offer Stock in the future as I don't believe the shade was checked prior to shipping as the defect is glaringly obvious even prior to turning the lamp on.

Nice table lamp I was surprised by a couple things about this lamp. First, the lamp was shorter in height than I was expecting. Second, this lamp has some serious weight to it which suggests that it is well made. Overall, it's a beautiful lamp and I will be keeping it (just wish it would have been larger in size compared to the price).
