Don't follow the instructions for assembly!
I followed the instructions for the first of these and ended up breaking a small piece off...for the second and third I purchased I just built from the top down while the unit was upside down. They're really MUCH more than you pay for...simple, elegant, and well-built!

Great table at a low price
Pleasantly surprised at the good quality and ease of assembly. I needed a narrow console for my small guest room and this fit perfectly. I added 3 baskets to the bottom shelf for my guests to use for personal belongings. I did not have enough room for a full size dresser. This table works beautifully and the white finish looks great with my blue coastal themed room

while this is a narrow table its reasonable sturdy, I think each shelf will probably hold 20 lbs or so
