Perfect for sliding glass door panels I wanted to cover three attached sliding glass doors with blackout curtains. I needed the curtains and rod to be flush with the walls and not extend out too much. After purchasing & returning 4 other rods, this one fit my needs. It does not extend out, perfect length and width, I did not need the middle bracket even though I hung 4, 52" wide blackout panels. Using the end caps, the rod moves very slightly or not at all depending on how hard I'm pulling the panels. I've had the rod and curtains up for two months with no middle rod sag.

Great Outdoor Curtain Rods Good Price We purchased these curtain rods along with Grommet Top Indoor / Outdoor Curtain Panel also sold on Great Offer Stock. We purchased size 100 inches to 144 inches. For us, this size hold 4 curtains securely. We live across the street from the ocean so we do get a bit of a breeze sometimes and have had no problem with the rods. The width itself is less than a half in on the bracket it's about 1 1/2 inches in the base that sits flush with the wall, If you wondering about the depth from the wall out it's less than 3 1/2 inches from the base to the most protruding portion of the loop where the rod would sit sorry to be so detailed everyone perception about width and depth is different. Pretty much can't stop the rod from sliding back and forth when using the "hook" mounts, at least without altering the rod. As for just the middle, overlapping section of the rod, could drill a small hole at a point of overlap and use a small screw on the bottom of the rod (so as not to interfere with curtains sliding back and forth).

Yes, they can definitely be hung from the ceiling! The hooks are specially made to curl up enough for that purpose!

Yea of course you can. Don't know if your're working with a flat or slopped ceiling but it doesn't matter. Simply place the hooks a press them flat against the ceiling mark where the holes go, then drill holes so that the anchors will hand press or pushed into the drilled holes mount the hook screw in the screws and you should be good to go. Remember not to over tighten the screws.

My patio is quite wide 120/90 and the rods worked well. But unfornately after 4 months of wind blowing rain the hook broke. The curtains kept falling 1st and I had to keep readjusting the rod. After that the hook part twisted and finally broke off. I had purchased 2 of them, but haven't put the other up yet. They really looked great on my patio with the blue curtains I got from pier one. I was initially thinking I had too many curtains on one rod, but I took one off and it still broke..

The way we installed them was to push the end cap all the way to each bracket. That way, there is nowhere for the rod to go (at least toward the center). And, since they're both shoved against the bracket, they can't move away from the center, either.. Hope this helps.

I had to use all three rod sections and I was worried that it would slip and slide when the drapes are moved, so I put a tiny piece of duct tape on the top back side of the rod (it doesn't show) and it is just enough to keep it from sliding around. I had to laugh, because of the old saying "you can fix anything with duct tape." Hope this helps.

Actually for for that length you will definitely need a center bracket as it will sag a bit in the middle. It also depends on the weight of the curtains. If they are not heavy then no center bracket is necessary.

I think the max distance between brackets should be about 80" for this set. The brackets are awful because (1) they are very short, which causes the rod to be too close to the wall and trim, and (2) they do not secure to the rod so it can move around, so I used Ikea BETYDLIG brackets instead. Most of the Ikea brackets are hidden by the overlapping last fold in the grommet curtains, except for the center one, which I installed in white to match the wall.
