The product is not a traditional would/composite molding. I was nervous when it first arrived since it is a hard foam type material. However, to my surprise, not only was it easy to work with and cut, but easily nailed up (turn down psi to about 70 and I used crown staples) and looks fantastic. Was surprised and very pleased. Take paint extremely well and wood putty/caulk (as long as you don't apply heavy) goes on well. Sanding can be an issue but as long as you are not aggressive, works great.

Fabulous header over doors and windows This molding is designed for installation on top of doors and windows. It cuts easily in a standard or compound miter saw as it not too tall to stand up or lay flat. Add a simple return to both cut ends and you have a beautiful finished look that dresses up the casing nicely. I added a 5 inch tall flat piece of base molding mdf over one door that needed height in 12 foot room first. Then, I installed the cap molding just above the top of the flat base molding. I added simple returns to both moldings to finish it off. I bought this when it was on sale. The priced was competitive with others.

excellent and looks very good I used this in my bathroom remodels mainly because of the polyurethane water resistant quality, but also because of the profile. The top hugs the ceiling and it runs down the wall very nice. The 4.5 inch overall profile fit nicely with the lower ceilings in the downstairs bath. They were easy to install also with this short profile. My miter could cut them on the fence. I painted a bright white to contrast my smoke gray walls. They look fantastic.

Due to the material they are made from, they are easily removed, I had to take several pieces off to readjust their placement. They pulled off and went back up without an issue

Yes you can nail throughout any portion of the product - but I would also follow the advise to use the Loctite Power Grab adhesive, or similar product, and lightly put a bead along the two surfaces that make contact with the ceiling and wall surfaces respectively. In nailing I strongly suggest using a finishing type nail gun. and turn back the pressure - I used about 75 psi and nails just barely went below the surface face - also DO NOT press the gun strongly up against the material, as you may do with wood, as it will probably dent and then just a bit more spackling/chalking afterward - just firmly touch against the material. Try a small test piece and get the psi and pressure that works best. - remember you can always caulk afterwards to get a nice tight looking fit against both celling and wall. Good luck.
