Mid-Century Fabric and Wood Platform Bed by Baxton Studio

First of all, the bed arrives in 3 packages — the headboard, the wooden slats and the bed frame. Our bed frame box arrived two days after the other parts, which left us a little confused until we messaged the Online Chat Center and confirmed the other package would arrive the next day. Easy enough. What was not easy was the assembly. Holy. Cow. At one point, we had 3 people working on it — the "bolt nuts" specifically. It was just super tedious and finicky. We survived, yes, but if you are not a patient person, you may want to look at other bed options. *You will need a power drill to complete the bed.* That or superhuman forearm strength because you will need to screw in 34-36 slats that are only partially drilled through. The slat has a half-deep hole, and the bed frame part that you are connecting the slats to has nothing at all. We nearly used a drill bit to drill all the holes (glad we didn't -- don't do that), but the screws go in pretty easily with the help of a electric screwdriver of some sort. This is not a "put together, take apart" kind of bed, so definitely assemble it in the room you plan to keep it in for a long, long time. But all in all it looks good. Just not fun to put together.

Inner frame does not attach to headboard. 2 Legs come with screw in feet that slid sideways as soon as I laid on the bed. Had to modify legs with my own materials so that frame would support mattress and weight of two people.

I bought this platform bed for my son's room but it is going back immediately. The product description stated there was no laminate but there is! The wood is solid but the laminate makes the whole thing look cheap and way too shiny. Part of the finish was scratched up in multiple areas too. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with this product. I've purchased many pieces of gorgeous furniture from Great Offer Stock and this piece was no where near up to par. I'll save you a headache...keep looking and don't buy this.
