I had read the reviews on this fan before purchasing it. even though the picture makes the light globe look white, it isn't. like one other reviewer stated, it's more of an amber color. I wasn't too sure of it at first, but with the gray blades, it doesn't look too bad. my colors are a beach theme, soft silver gray and blues, so the gray blades go well and the light blends in with my other décor pieces. since I only have 8ft ceilings, I was worried about how far from the ceiling this would be, I was hoping more for a flush look. but if you use the 2inch downrod it puts it at an acceptable height.I probably would've given it another star if the globe was of a cream or white color.
