Words of wisdom: if you're ordering this low-profile fan, it's likely because you have short ceilings. And if you have short ceilings, ORDER THE WHITE COLOR FAN so it blends in with the ceiling. I ordered one white, one nickel, and the nickel one looks pretty regrettable. The base is thick and right in your line of sight when you walk into the room -- quite noticeable. But I paid $$ to have it installed, so there's no going back now. Oh well. Also: one of the fans had a broken remote. Great Offer Stock is working on getting me a replacement part. Outside of that, really nice fan.
