"Can the shades be ordered cut to widths other than listed"
These Solar Shades kept my home much cooler this last summer. I have many window facing south to capture the heat for the house. But, in the summer it can get very hot. So, these were really effective in preserving my furniture and keep the house cooler.

Works great! My 8' wide x 8' long unit arrived on time, although with a small dent from shipping. I hung itvwhere it's out of sight so no problem. Before you hang it, check to be sure the bead-pullstring is mounted correctly on the pulley. I discover it was off the spricket after I hung the unit & it was tedious to get the string back on the pulley. Think bicycle chain, don't force It, just turn the pulley & feed on the string. It is hung & works great. The whole process took about an hour. I recommend this product, very happy with it.

Country Girl The porch shades are terrific! They block heat and prevent rain and snow from getting on my front porch, which is set up like a room with rugs and wicker furniture. They even have tie-downs included and roll completely up into the valance when I want to open the porch up completely.

Maybe just a little bit, but it is not like a screen. Most of the wind will be blocked except in the areas not covered by the shade. But they are great shades! Love mine!

That would depend upon how much light is on the outside. My house faces due west, so we get the afternoon sun. Without the shades, sitting ont he front porch in the afternoon is nearly impossible. With the shades, we can sit out on the porch and still enjoy the view. However, as the sun goes down it is much more difficult to see what is onthe other side of the shade. You get down to being able to make out shapes but not necessarly to actuallly see what is on the other side. But we love these shades and I would highly recommend them.

These shades are wonderful. Nice quality, nice to look at and easy to install. They really block the hot sun but you can still se through them to the outside. Our porch gets the HOT morning sun and these shades are a life saver and so attractive as well. Love them!! OBTW, we live in a very HOT climate ( South Carolina).
