"Is the lamp pole glass or acrylic? If it is acrylic, does it have a sheen like glass would have? I am looking for a floor lamp to put in a corner of my dining room for times when I don't want too much light over my head from the dining room chandelier. Thanks."

Attractive lamp with a couple minuses Received this lamp a few days ago to replace a living room lamp. Had it out of the box and assembled in less than 10 minutes. First impressions were I scored a very nice attractive lamp, then I turned it on. I immediately realized it was a nice lamp with a cheap shade. The shade produces a mid 19th century yellowish glow and there were a couple of black dots here and there. I was able to turn the shade and get rid of the dots but the yellow glow was there. I had a CFL bulb in it then changed to an LED and it made no difference. So now I'll be buying a new shade for it. The other ding? The two medal rings in the shaft are hollow not solid but I can get over that. Would just look a bit higher quality if they were solid IMHO. I managed to find an 11% off coupon [...]when I bought it so that will help with the shade. All that said, it will be a nice addition to our home.

SOOOO PURTY! Absolutely love this floor lamp. Its a perfect mix of classy, stylish, and contemporary flavor. Does not look cheap at all. Easy to assemble. Light output is not super bright, but works in my living room. Definitely will compliment any color scheme and style. Only con...there are some spots on the acrylic that I can't completely remove.
