this rug is very pretty, but very scratchy, not suited for bare feet, crawling babies, or kids who plop on the floor to watch TV.

It's a nice color, very calming. It is prone to warping because it's not especially thick. Quality is good, but I've seen thicker flat weaves. It's not throw rug thickness, but not as thick as the last large flat weave rug I bought so it doesn't hold it's shape quite as well. It's wool I think and not that soft, which is fine by me, but not a rug for a baby to crawl on (like babies care). It's fine on my bare feet though, but not something I'd want to stretch out on. I put a carpet pad under it to make it more comfy underfoot.
